About the producer
Born in Morgon,winemaker Dominique Piron is the 14th generation since Etienne Bailly. The rarest of the Beaujolais Crus with only 240 hectares. Chénas was the favorite wine of Louis XIII, king of France from 1610 to 1643.On granite and quartz soils, this wine is elegant and generous. With its silky and almost saline side, this Chenas perfectly reflects the fifth flavour that comes from Asia: “umami”.
