The Cressi 5L Econo float is a hard bullet style float that comes with a flag and shark clips on each end. It is made from a high density EVA foam which is extremely durable and feels like a rigid float. The bullet style shape allows for a smooth movement through the water when pulling from below and is internally weighted to keep the flag standing tall even in rough waters. A float has a couple of different uses. The first and most important one is letting boat owners or anyone on the surface know that you are in the water diving. When you see a flag, it is a rule that you keep a certain distance away from it so there is no chance of driving over a diver. The next use for the float is to keep your gun secure. Lets say you shoot a rather large fish and you accidentally let go of your gun. That gun is gone and you will never be seeing that again. If it is connected to a float via a floating rope, you will always be able to find it.
